Rick Kahle spearheads growth into Midwest for one of the largest and fastest-growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the country
IRVINE, CA — Alliant Insurance Services, one of the largest and fastest-growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the U.S., is making its mark in Kansas City with the addition of Rick Kahle as Senior Vice President within its Employee Benefits Group. As the leader in the Kansas City market, Kahle intends to grow Alliant’s Midwest presence while building an industry-leading team of professionals.
Searching for a company with a great reputation and the resources needed to compete in the middle and upper-middle market, Kahle was attracted to Alliant’s “we” culture and people-first mentality.
“I was looking for a national organization that was entrepreneurial in nature, one with growth-oriented individuals and that had a small presence in the Midwest,” Kahle said. “All of those things together helped me select Alliant.”
With Kahle’s extensive background in commercial insurance services leadership and entrepreneurship, he sought out to combine both careers in a meaningful way to build something in a familiar space. Alliant’s three service lines, Kahle said, are imperative to business success. In Kansas City, he and his team will help clients with:
- Employee benefits: Medical, dental, life, disability, and voluntary benefits to help organizations with 100+ employees to maximize the return on investment in employee benefits while controlling plan costs
- Retirement planning: Qualified 401(k) and 403(b) plans that allow individuals to contribute money, with some level of employer match, to be better positioned during retirement
- Property and casualty: Identifying, managing, and transferring risk needs, including property, cyber risks, workers’ compensation, professional and product liabilities
“Rick is building an elite team for Alliant in Kansas City, including the latest addition of Ann DiPasquale, who brings more than 15 years of employee benefits experience to the organization,” said Kevin Overbey, President, Alliant Employee Benefits. “In addition, Rick is actively recruiting and adding producers and senior-level service team members to serve as trusted advisors to our clients.”
Alliant’s business model and unfettered access to expert resources are hallmarks in attracting and retaining the highest caliber of people. In addition, the company is majority owned by its employees, a perk for those who earn an equity stake—something not often seen in competition.
“Alliant has a great story and track record of people who want to stay here for a long, long time,” said Kahle. “We’re looking for amazing professionals, but equally importantly, we’re looking for amazing human beings.”
