“This recognition is a testament to our continuous efforts to cultivate a workplace where every individual feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive,” said Tom Corbett, Executive Chairman of Alliant. “We believe that making a strong investment in diversity, equity, and inclusion plays a direct role in our success and is critical to our long-term strength as an organization.”
Alliant’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting equitable representation and belonging at Alliant and across the insurance industry. Through substantive development initiatives, comprehensive culture-building programs, companywide employee resource groups, and community partnerships, Alliant continues to create an environment where everyone is celebrated. Additionally, the Alliant Insurance Foundation is focused on running talent pipeline programs to broaden access to the insurance industry for historically underrepresented students as a way to ensure and safeguard a diverse future for the industry.
“Through our ongoing commitment to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion we believe we can make a real difference in our community and our industry,” said Lilian Vanvieldt, Executive Vice President and Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer with Alliant. “Creating an organization that reflects the communities we serve is essential for Alliant as we continue to grow as a company.”
Statista, Inc. surveyed 45,000 individuals working for organizations with at least 1,000 employees to determine the companies that are most dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Participants were asked to rate their employers on several criteria, including diversity among top executives, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and overall company culture. The final list of Best Employers for Diversity includes the 500 organizations that received the most recommendations, had the most diverse boards and executive ranks, and had the most proactive diversity and inclusion initiatives.
