Project Overview
The Central & Adams Hotel is a new hospitality development designed to meet growing demand for accommodations in the city’s downtown area. Developed to enhance local tourism and support business travelers, conferences and events, the hotel strengthens the city’s ability to attract visitors while creating a modern destination that contributes to the vibrancy of downtown. Designed by Gensler, the project combines architectural excellence with thoughtful planning to deliver a world-class facility that elevates the city’s hospitality landscape.
Community Impact
The hotel will generate lasting economic and social value by creating jobs, boosting tourism revenue and attracting both leisure and business travelers to the heart of the city. By making downtown more accessible and vibrant, the project supports surrounding small businesses and enriches the overall quality of life. On a broader scale, the development reinforces America’s hospitality sector by investing in downtown infrastructure that promotes long-term urban growth, sustainability and competitiveness.

The Challenges
Constructing the Central & Adams Hotel in the heart of downtown presented significant challenges due to limited space for staging, deliveries and equipment. Surrounding businesses, active roadways and pedestrian traffic further restricted site access and required careful planning. The project team overcame these obstacles with detailed logistics management, phased scheduling and close coordination with city officials to minimize disruption while maintaining safety and efficiency throughout construction.

The Technology
Largo Concrete utilized the Peri Skyflex Formwork system, marking the first implementation of this innovative technology in the United States. This advanced system improved efficiency, safety and precision during construction, reducing waste and setting a new benchmark for formwork solutions in the industry. The successful use of Skyflex demonstrates how new technology can drive progress in hospitality construction projects across the country.
