Miranda Fischer

Assistant Vice President, Alliant Construction

Through her dedication and specialized expertise, Miranda has become a recognized and respected voice in the New York construction community.

“When working in the New York construction space, specialization is vital.” - Miranda Fischer

Meet Miranda

Before entering the construction insurance industry, Miranda competed internationally as an equestrian athlete, owned and operated her own commercial trucking business and advised private clients in strategic business operations. When she pivoted to insurance, she immersed herself quickly, seeking guidance from top leaders in the construction niche and building the foundation necessary to make an impact.

“Perhaps my most defining moment was reinventing myself yet again - entering the insurance industry from scratch, walking straight into the competitive mid-market New York construction space and building a thriving career rooted in trust, expertise and client advocacy.” - Miranda Fischer

Miranda's Path to Construction Risk

Miranda was selected as a Long Island Business News Leaders in Business & Finance Awards honoree in 2025. In 2026, she was recognized as a Risk & Insurance Power Broker and as a Hot 100 Award Winner by Insurance Business America.

Making an Impact

One of Miranda’s proudest contributions is recognizing the need for and authoring Problematic Exclusions and Endorsements: The Ultimate Insurance Cheat Sheet for NY Risks, a free reference guide that enables clients and peers to navigate challenging policy language with confidence. Miranda made this resource available to members of Professional Women in Construction and recently updated a version for members of the Women Builders Council.

Additionally, she is actively involved with key industry organizations, including the NYC Economic Development Corporation, Women Builders Council, Professional Women in Construction, Subcontractors Trade Association and the New York Building Congress.

The Power of Diversity in Construction

“Diversity drives better solutions. If the same people are always at the table, you get the same answers. Different perspectives lead to smarter, more innovative outcomes.” - Miranda Fischer

Miranda has watched women challenge outdated assumptions about leadership and risk and reimagine what’s possible. She recognizes the strength and courage of the fully women-owned and women-led businesses she serves, because they consistently bring bold thinking, collaboration and innovation to the table.

“By creating space for diverse voices and expanding access to education and opportunity, women are helping to shift industry culture for the better - strengthening both performance and the future talent pipeline. Women push the industry forward by challenging the status quo.” - Miranda Fischer
